En Azuay y Cañar se registra caída de ceniza debido a erupción de volcán Sangay.
Cuenca (Azuay).- Desde la Unidad de Monitoreo de Eventos Adversos del Servicio Nacional de Gestión de Riesgos y Emergencias, hoy 10 de diciembre se recibió la alerta de una ligera caída de ceniza en la provincia del Azuay; cantones Guachapala y El Pan; y en la provincia del Cañar; cantones Azogues, Biblián y Déleg.
Según el Instituto Geofísico de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional desde muy temprano de este martes 10 de diciembre, se registró una emisión continua de gases, vapor y ceniza en el volcán Sangay. La dirección de la columna es hacia el sur-occidente.
El Servicio Nacional de Gestión de Riesgos y Emergencias y el Instituto Geofísico se mantienen atentos y monitoreando la actividad del volcán e informarán sobre los cambios que se puedan registrar.
Solicitamos a la ciudadanía y turistas tomar en cuenta las siguientes medidas de prevención:
* Proteja sus ojos:
- Use gafas
- Use agua limpia para el aseo de sus ojos
- No frote los ojos
- Proteja su nariz:
- Cubra su nariz con un pañuelo húmedo
- Proteja a las personas que tienen afecciones pulmonares
- Proteja su piel:
- Use ropa que proteja la mayor parte de la piel
- Báñese periódicamente con agua limpia
