Cuenca started "piloting the reactivation of tourist activities" in food, beverage and cafeteria establishments
(Cuenca, Azuay 14-05-2020) El “Plan Piloto de reapertura de establecimientos turísticos”, consiste en que los locales que formen parte de este proceso, cumplan con el check-list de los nuevos protocolos de bioseguridad aprobados por el COE Nacional. Los protocolos priorizan la seguridad, confianza y una nueva forma de servicio para el consumidor.
(Cuenca, Azuay 14-05-2020) The "Pilot Plan for the Reopening of Tourist Establishments" consists of the premises that are part of this process complying with the checklist of new biosecurity protocols approved by the National EOC. The protocols prioritize security, trust, and a new form of service for the consumer.
El primer paso fue convocar a establecimientos registrados, proyectos que cuenten con el aval de colectivos, gremios o asociaciones. Del sector de alimentos y bebidas, los restaurantes Mangare Bene, La Esquina, Golden Prague, Dominos Pizza, Los Kaníbales, Pollos de la Remigio, Papi Pollo, La Placita, ingresaron en el pilotaje y operarán aplicando todos los protocolos de reapertura.
The first step was to gather registered establishments, projects that have the endorsement of groups, organizations, or associations. From the food and beverage sector, the restaurants Mangiare Bene, La Esquina, Golden Prague, Dominos Pizza, Los Kaníbales, Pollos de la Remigio, Papi Pollo, La Placita, entered the pilot and will operate applying all the reopening protocols.
Las cafeterías de la cadena Melate, Café Austria, Sucre Salé, Hanzel & Gretel y Goza, también se han sumado.
En una primera visita se verificó la ubicación del pediluvio (bandeja limpiar los zapatos) al ingreso del establecimiento, dispensadores de alcohol-gel, servicios de pagos electrónicos, aforo (distanciamiento de mesas), implementación de equipo de protección personal en empleados, insumos de desinfección de cocina y vajilla.
The cafeterias of the Melate chain, Café Austria, Sucre Salé, Hanzel & Gretel and Goza, have also joined.

Y en la segunda revisión, se recibirán todos los protocolos aprobados por el COE Nacional y quienes aprueben, recibirán un “distintivo que avale su cumplimiento”. Este será un trabajo conjunto de la Fundación Municipal Turismo para Cuenca, Ministerio de Turismo, representantes del sector y la academia.

Es importante mencionar que, en el desarrollo del pilotaje, el personal de los establecimientos participantes pasará por un test que descarte los síntomas de COVID19. Los resultados de las pruebas serán entregados al GAD Municipal de Cuenca y Ministerio de Salud Pública.

Durante el proceso del plan piloto de reapertura de establecimientos de alimentos y bebidas, la academia compilará toda la información de valor, misma que permitirá tomar decisiones en beneficio de la cadena de valor.
Cumplido el plan piloto de reapertura del sector de alimentos, bebidas y cafeterías, se continuará con el sector de alojamiento.
