Agro-ecological producers, benchmark of the sustainable food system and rural tourism
La reactivación del sector productivo de Cuenca, continúa. En esta ocasión, productores agroecológicos y un grupo de propietarios de restaurantes y cafeterías de la ciudad, emprenden la Feria “Red Agroecológica del Austro”, donde se exponen variedad de alimentos sembrados y cosechados en el campo.
The reactivation of the productive sector of Cuenca continues. On this occasion, agroecological producers and a group of restaurants and cafeterias owners of the city undertake the “Red Agroecológica del Austro” Fair, where a variety of foods planted and harvested in the field are exhibited.
Estas ferias coordinadas por la Red Agroecológica del Austro, buscan fortalecer los sistemas alimentarios sostenibles y un comercio justo, donde los actores son sus productores, cocineros y consumidores, todo ello en pro de la soberanía alimentaria.
These fairs, coordinated by the Agroecological Austro Network, seek to strengthen sustainable food systems and fair trade, where the actors are their producers, cooks and consumers, all in favor of food sovereignty.
Variedad de hortalizas, vegetales, guisos, panes, tortillas, café, frutas de la zona, lácteos, tortillas de maíz, café y otros productos, se venden a precios cómodos los días martes de 08H00 a 11H00 en el restaurante Dos Sucres y los miércoles de 07H30 a 11H00 en el restaurante la Chichería, Museo de los Metales.
Variety of vegetables, greens, stews, breads, tortillas, coffee, local fruits, dairy products, corn tortillas, coffee and other products, are sold at affordable prices on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Dos Sucres restaurant and on Wednesdays from 07:30 to 11:00 in the Chichería restaurant, Museo de los Metales.
Es importante mencionar que el “sistema alimentario” forma parte de los atractivos que posee el sector rural del cantón, y que, gracias a la conservación de las buenas prácticas ancestrales del campo, fortalecen a “Cuenca como Ciudad Biosegura y Sostenible”.
