En cambio hoy, queremos contarte de una nueva experiencia, planeada por nuestros amigos de Apullacta: Cuenca a pie, búsqueda del tesoro.
Cuenca es, definitivamente, una ciudad muy bonita para recorrerla a pie; muchos cuencanos estamos un poco ocupados con las cosas del día a día y, aunque caminamos o pasamos por nuestro Centro Histórico y puntos icónicos de la ciudad, no nos tomamos el tiempo para disfrutarlos del todo.
Esta es una actividad pensada para hacerla los fines de semana o incluso por las tardes. Con niños pequeños, jóvenes con tiempo libre e incluso con personas mayores, ya retiradas, que quieran entretenerse por algunas horas.

Cuenca is definitely a very beautiful city to explore on foot; many of us -from Cuenca- are a bit busy with day-to-day things and, although we walk or pass through our Historic Center and iconic points of the city, we do not take the time to fully enjoy them. This is an activity designed to be done on weekends or even in the afternoons. With young children, young people with free time and even with elderly people, already retired, who want to entertain themselves for a few hours.
¿De qué se trata? Los participantes, en esta experiencia, encontrarán pistas en lugares icónicos de la ciudad y algunas otras pistas en lugares que no son tan conocidos. Es un juego con amigos y familiares, cada pista implica un pequeño reto, tomarse una foto o hacer algo gracioso y luego obtienes la siguiente pista para conducirte al siguiente lugar. No te podemos contar sobre los retos, porque son una sorpresa.
Como parte de la dinámica recibirás pistas en Whatsapp; el Director de la Expedición, es la persona que estará en contacto contigo todo el tiempo, para ayudarte en esta ruta, casi, casi autoguiada.
En los espacios que visitarás, incluso encontrarás obras o murales, esculturas, o puntos donde podrás tomarte fotografías espectaculares, gracias al paisaje.
Normalmente las personas no se dan cuenta de que estos espacios están abiertos al público o que existen en la ciudad.
Recorrerás Cuenca mientras sigues algunas rutas ya propuestas por la Fundación de Turismo para Cuenca y el Municipio, en una fusión con nuevos espacios.
What is it about? The participants, in this experience, will find clues in iconic places in the city and some other clues in places that are not so well known. It is a game with friends and family, each clue involves a little challenge, take a photo or do something funny and then you get the next clue to lead you to the next place. We cannot tell you about the challenges, because they are a surprise. As part of the dynamic, you will receive clues on WhatsApp; the Expedition Director, is the person who will be in contact with you all the time, to help you on this route, almost self-guided.
In the places that you will visit, you will find works of art or murals, sculptures, or points where you can take spectacular photographs, thanks to the landscape. Usually people do not realize that these spots are open to the public or that they exist in the city. You will travel through Cuenca while following some routes already proposed by the Tourism Foundation for Cuenca and the Municipality, in a fusion with new spaces.
¿Qué es lo que busca esta nueva actividad? El objetivo de Apullacta es activar la economía local. Generar en las personas una conciencia de comercio justo, de apoyo directo a artesanos, conocer sus espacios y redescubrir la ciudad.
Cuenca es conocida a nivel nacional por ser una ciudad muy bonita, pero es necesario conocer los pequeños rincones que no vemos para descubrir qué es lo que la hace ‘bonita’, al punto de ser Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad.
La búsqueda del Tesoro ya está activa, inició con familias cuencanas que se animaron a hacer algo diferente y divertido los fines de semana. Durante lo que queda del 2020 y el 2021, se generarán nuevas rutas y retos.
La actividad está pensada para todas las edades, sin límites; pero es necesario poder caminar, así que hay que tomarlo en cuenta. Para los niños pequeños, los padres podrían llevar canguros o coches. Las caminatas van entre 2km a 2,5 km, habrá gradas y caminatas en las calles de la ciudad.
Los diferentes grupos no se juntan; si bien las pistas son similares, la actividad inicia a diferentes horarios para respetar siempre el aforo de los espacios.
Los grupos son de 7 a 8 personas así conservamos las normas de bioseguridad: distancia social, mascarilla, y seguir las instrucciones de otros lugares, como la toma de temperatura y el uso de alcohol o gel.

What is this new activity looking for? Apullacta's goal is to activate the local economy. Generate in people an awareness of fair trade, of direct support to artisans, know their spaces and rediscover the city.
Cuenca is known nationally for being a very beautiful city, but it is necessary to know the little corners that we cannot see in order to discover what makes it ‘beautiful’, to the point of being a World Heritage Site.
The treasure hunt is already active, it began with local families who were encouraged to do something different and fun on weekends. During the remainder of 2020 and 2021, new routes and challenges will be generated.
The activity is designed for all ages, without limits; but it is necessary to be able to walk, so it must be taken into account. For young children, parents could bring kangaroos or cars. The walks go between 2km to 2.5 km, there will be steps and walks in the streets of the city.
Different groups don't get together; although the tracks are similar, the activity begins at different times to always respect the capacity of the places. The groups are 7 to 8 people so we keep the biosecurity rules: social distance, masks, and follow the instructions of other places, such as taking a temperature and the use of alcohol or gel.
