El Barranco: located along the Tomebamba River, El Barranco is one of the most important and beautiful natural spaces that Cuenca has. Adorned by hanging houses, nowadays converted into museums, cafes, artisan and cultural centers, as well as a long path for bike and walking tours, it is the limit point of the historic center with the modern part of the city.
